About Barby Schacher
Barby Schacher
From Ranch Life to Fine Art – The Western Vision of Barby Schacher
From a childhood of riding ranch horses in Idaho’s Clearwater River Valley to national recognition as a Western Pastel Artist, Barby Schacher brings deep authenticity and emotional detail to every piece she creates.
Her award-winning pastel paintings reflect a lifelong bond with the land, the animals, and the untold stories of the American West. Horses, cattle, and wildlife come to life with grace, strength, and soul — inviting collectors to own a piece of the heritage she knows by heart.
Barby is a Signature Member of Cowgirl Artists of America (CGA), and an Associate Member of Women Artists of the West (WAOW) and American Plains Artists (APA).
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
