The Story Behind The Drawing

Meet one of our neighbors!  My husband snapped the photo I used as a reference photo of this beautiful Mountain Lion on our property less than half a mile from our home a few winters back.  We had noticed tracks from a big cat that went through the middle of our gravel pit for a few weeks or so.  One day my husband decided to track him to see if he could locate him or catch a glimpse of him and… he did!

Needless to say, my hubby’s a whole lot braver than I am… I stayed home where it was safe!  When I saw the pictures that he had taken, though, I have to admit that I was a little envious… that would have been an awesome experience!

This reference photo was my favorite out of the whole bunch that he took that day and I tried to draw it just the way it was in the photo without changing anything.
